This course is intended for all persons Handling, Offering and Transporting Dangerous Goods in Canada. This is a pre-requisite for Guideline B - people handling Dangerous goods, Guideline C - Offering For Transport Dangerous Goods or Guideline D - Transporting Dangerous Goods.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Understand the basics of the legislation, history, the act and the regulations, and defined legislated responsibilities
Identify the Classification System, nine classes of dangerous goods and their associated hazards
Learn the shipping names, classes, UN Number and packing groups for dangerous goods encountered on the job
Understand the information required on the shipping document
Understand the requirements regarding mixed loads, segregation of dangerous goods
Choosing the proper means of containment
Learn the proper use of all equipment that is used in the handling, offering for transport and or transportation of dangerous goods
Dangerous goods and ERAP’s (Emergency Response Assistance Plans, Emergency Response and Reporting Requirements)

This course has been approved for 4 hours.
COURSE PRE-REQUISITE:

TESTING:
Quizzes - All quizzes must be passed with a 100% to proceed forward to the next lesson.
Final Exam- Final Exam must be passed with a 70% to pass the course. The final exam can be taken three times if necessary.
